The Files tab stores all documents uploaded within the project and provides tools for organizing, searching, downloading, and managing files. It acts as the project’s shared library, ensuring every member has access to important resources. Now, let’s take a look at important actions that can be performed inside the files tab:
1. Viewing Files:
- Files appear as cards showing file type, name, size, uploader, and upload date.
- Scroll through the grid to browse all available documents.

2. Using Filters:
To filter files:
- Click the filter dropdown (default: All Files).
- Choose one of the following:
- All Files – shows every file in the project.
- Uploaded By Me – shows only files uploaded by the user.
- Uploaded By Others – shows files uploaded by teammates.
The file list updates immediately based on the selection.
3. Searching for Files:
The search bar helps the user quickly locate files by name or related task.
To search:
- Click the Search field.
- Type a keyword or part of the file name.
- Matching files appear instantly.

4. Downloading Files:
Users can download any file stored inside the project.
To download a file:
- Hover over a file card to reveal the Download icon.
- Click the icon to save the file to the device.
This helps users access documents offline or share them outside Orta when needed.
5. Selecting Files:
Selecting files allows the user to apply bulk actions.
To select files:
- Click the checkbox on a file card.
- Select multiple checkboxes to choose several files.
- A bottom action bar appears when at least one file is selected.

Options in the bottom bar:
- Clear – unselects all selected files.
- Select All – selects every file currently visible.
- Delete – removes the selected files permanently.
Deleted files are permanently removed from the project library.
Keeping files organized and easy to access ensures smooth collaboration throughout the project. The Files tab brings all documents into one shared space, helping the team stay aligned and ensuring important information is always within reach.
