Orta uses a role-based access control system to manage how users interact with different parts of the workspace. Each role comes with specific permissions that determine what users can view, create, edit, or delete across four core modules:
- Workspace
- Project
- Task
- Event
This structured approach protects data, clarifies responsibilities, and ensures efficient collaboration.
Roles in Orta:
- Workspace Owner: Full authority over the workspace, including member management and ownership transfer.
- Workspace Member: Contributes by creating projects, tasks, and events, with limited workspace access.
- Project Owner: Full control of project settings, members, and tasks, with the ability to transfer ownership.
- Project Manager: Manages projects and tasks but cannot transfer project ownership.
- Project Member: Limited role, focused on contributing tasks and events.
- Task Creator / Assignee: Manages tasks assigned to them.
- Event Organizer / Participant: Organizers manage events; participants have view-only access.
Benefits of Role-Based Access in Orta:
- Security: Only authorized users can access or modify sensitive content.
- Clarity: Each user sees only what they need.
- Efficiency: Eliminates confusion and overlaps in responsibilities.
